Sadiya, Nigerian Sokoto ex-Governor Wamakko’s daughter dies of childbirth complications

  Sadiya Magatakarda Wamakko, the daughter of former governor of Sokoto state, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has passed away. Sadiya Magatakarda Wamakko died at the age of 23 years following complications arising from childbirth. TVC News reported that Sadiya died at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto. However, Sadiya was buried on Thursday night. The funeral took place at the residence of Senator Wamakko, Sahabi Dange, road, Gawon Nama, Sokoto.

5100 card readers destroyed as fire razed Ondo INEC office 30 days to election

Over 5100 card readers which were meant for the October 10 governorship election in Nigeria’s Ondo state have been destroyed as fire, on Thursday, September 10, gutted the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) office in the state. Nigerian Doctors Suspend Strike, confirm government’s N8.9bn COVID-19 allowance payment approval

  The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its ongoing nationwide strike, which it commenced on September 7, 2020. 17,483 PPPRA, PEF staff face sack, mass redeployment as Minister declares end to agencies’ existence
