No Fuel In Helicopter That Crashed, Killed 3 In Opebi Lagos – AIB Report

  A Preliminary report by the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has revealed that there was no fuel left in the tanks of the Bell 206B 111 Helicopter, as at time of crash in Opebi area of Ikeja, Lagos, on August 28. Initial findings released by the Bureau on Monday said that the helicopter, with registration number: 5N-BQW operated by Quorum Aviation Limited, had 3:15 minutes endurance fuel, while the estimated flight time was 2:45hrs.   The Nigeria’s elections’ umpire, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has declared Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State. Obaseki defeated his rival and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, after winning in 13 LGAs of the state. Announcing the results, the Edo Election Returning Officer, Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, said PDP polled 307,955 to secured majority votes in the election.
