  The Nigeria’s ministry of Petroleum Resources spent a whooping N98.4 million for the printing of leaflets used for Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) awareness. The Senate Committee on Public Account, which declared this, also kicked against the violation of due process by the Ministry in the award of the contract. Pirates attacked, kidnapped 130 West Africa Seafarers in 1 Year- Report

  Kidnappings by pirates in the Gulf of Guinea hit a record in 2020. This surge came with well-armed and violent gangs defying regional navies and marauding further out to sea, a report from the International Maritime Bureau has said. Pirates in the West African region kidnapped 130 seafarers in 22 separate incidents, accounting for all but five of those seized worldwide last year. The previous record, in 2019, was 121. NNPC Oil Exports Receipt surges 16.28% to $120.49m in September

    The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has raked in a total export receipt for crude oil and gas valued at $120.49 million for the month of September 2020. A press release by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Dr. Kennie Obateru, stated that the figure is contained in the September 2020 edition of the NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report (MFOR).
