More details have emerged on how Nigerian Football talent hunter and former Technical Director in the then Nigeria Football Association, Chief Kashimawo Laloko, wsdied.
Laloko, who doubled as a former National Coach of The Gambia, died Sunday morning (March 28) after being hospitalised at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta, Southwest Nigeria, Platforms Africa has gathered.
“Baba is aged 76 and all I can say is that he has a health condition associated with old age which he has been managing over the years and when thing began to go out of hands, we brought him to Lantoro where he gave up the ghost. He was brought here alive but we are, as we speak, arrangung to go and evacuate his dead body. That exemplified the vanity of this life,” a close relative said in a phone conversation with this online newspaper.
He was known for being the arrowhead of Pepsi Football Academy which raised many football talents in Nigeria.
At a time, he was also the national coach of The Gambia.
It was learnt that Laloko, the Olori Parakoyi of Egbaland, in South West Nigeria, will be buried at his Gbonagun residence in Abeokuta at 3.00 pm, on Monday March 29, 2021.
