BREAKING: Nigerian Polytechnics Shut, Lecturers begin Strike

      Academic activities at all the Government-owned Polytechnics in Nigeria have been ground as the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) on Tuesday commenced an indefinite strike. President of the union, Anderson Ezeibe, announced this at a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday morning. Members of the union, he said, have agreed to shut all the Nigerian Polytechnics until their demands are met. This is coming despite the Federal Government’s move to avert strike action in polytechnics.

    The wreckage of the Nigerian Air Force fighter jet that went missing last week may have been found in Bama, Borno State, an authoritative military source told THISDAY on Sunday. Nigerians cough up N542.73bn electricity bills to DisCos in one year

  Nigerians paid a whooping N542.73 billion electricity bills in the year 2020. The 11 Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) across the country, collectors of the revenues, on the other hand, recorded a shortfall of N273.42 billion in the year.
