How Nigeria’s Army Chief, Attahiru, 10 Others Killed in Plane Crash

“It was raining heavily in Kaduna Airport this evening and all of a sudden we heard a bang at the location of the crash followed by a thick smoke bellowing from the scene. None of those onboard could have escaped. It was so sad.”

 

Details have emerged on how the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 others were feared killed in a plane crash in Kaduna.

A flight manifest obtained by Platforms Africa showed that Attahiru’s wife, Fati, was not on the flight.

The training aircraft crashed at the Kaduna international airport, Platforms Africa gathered, killing everyone on board.

The COAS has recently testified at the Senate where he said that past military leaders should be probed with respect to defense spending.

The Ill-fated aircraft was said to have crashed at the airport’s runway.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 6 pm while it was raining heavily.

The plane was said to have crash-landed around the Airport, with the 12 people on board feared dead.

An eyewitness, Jumai Idrissa, told Platforms Africa how the aircraft crashlanded.

“It was raining heavily in Kaduna Airport and all of a sudden we heard a bang at the location of the crash followed by a thick smoke bellowing from the location. None of those onboard could have escaped. It was so sad,” she said.
