Nigeria’s House of Representatives has summoned the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, over the indefinite suspension of Twitter in the country.
Platforms Africa on Friday, reported that the federal government announced the suspended Twitter operations in Nigeria.

Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who summoned the Minister, said Mr. Mohammed is to appear before the Joint Committee on Justice, Commerce, and Information over the suspension of Twitter.
The Speaker announced this during the plenary session on Tuesday.
Gbajabiamila said the Joint Committee will investigate the process that led to the suspension of the microblogging platform.
He, however, noted that the House will have to listen to the government before taking any action.
The Joint Committee was given 10 days to conduct the investigation and report back to the lawmakers.
