A Nigerian popular pastor, Reverend Chris Okotie, on Tuesday morning, shared a cryptic post on his Facebook page, in which he referenced a certain ”wizard of Endor” who assumed the title of ”Emmanuel” has been consumed.
Platforms Africa reports that Okotie had a serious bickering, in the early 2000s, with Prophet Temitope Balogun (T.B) Joshua who used the name Emmanuel, a disagreement that also dragged the name of another popular clergyman, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
In his post on Tuesday, Okotie said the Wizard who assumed the title of Emmanuel had been consumed by divine indignation.

The Okotie’s post, which comes days after T.B Joshua who is known for using the name ”Emmanuel” in his church and for his Televangelism, died, has been perceived by members of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) as mocking the death of the “revered servant of God.”

Okotie’s post reads;
“Hebrews 1:13… Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool (Hupopodion/Greek)
The wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel, has been consumed by divine indignation. And now his disciples bewail his ignominious exit.
No marvel, one third of God’s angels followed the disgraced anointed cherub Lucifer!!
Jehovah-Jesus our mighty gladiator has broken the head of the dragon with his mighty blows.
He has descended from the mountain of spices with the fiery sword of his indignation. Glorious in his apparel and traveling in the greatness of his strength, he goes conquering and to conquer the adversaries of his church.
Let those who swear by the Lord and by Malcham and the descendants of Haman, now tremble in fear. The day of the vengeance of our God has fully come to Nigeria. And they shall not escape. Operation Hupopodion (footstool) has commenced.
More Power To You !!!”
– Rev Chris Okotie
In a reaction, Peter Oluka, a member of SCOAN, said that “even though, we are enjoined to desist from answering such a deliberate aggression, it is beyond the power of any man to mock the death of another man.”
“Afterall, who will not die? We have been taught humility by the servant of God and the best we can do to his memory is to live by the love message of Jesus, which he dedicated all his life to teach us.”
