Nigerians’ Annual Spending on Fuel Hits ₦2.129 trn

NNPC Records ₦234.63bn fuel sale in March     Nigerians expended over ₦2.129 trillion on petroleum products in 12 months. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), which declared this on Sunday, announced that its downstream subsidiary, the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), sole importer of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol, recorded ₦234.63 billion revenue from the sale of white products in the month of March 2021 representing a 24.7% increase from the ₦188.15billion sales recorded in the previous month of February 2021. THE Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has thrown the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Akoka, Yaba, Lagos into darkness over unpaid debt of about N200 million it billed the university for electricity consumption.
