JUST IN: Bandits Kidnap NBC ex-Director, 15-Year-Old Daughter

Bandits have abducted Alhaji Ahmed Abdulkadir, a retired NBC director, and his 15-year-old daughter, Laila, last night after they raided Bakori Housing Units. Platforms Africa reports that this comes some  24 hours after the abduction of family members of lawmakers in the Katsina State House Assembly, The NBC has recently come up with different memos and sactions, considered by some as a calculated effort to stop them from reporting atrocities of bandits. Bandits Going Nowhere, Sheikh Gumi flays Nigerian Military Operations

Prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has declared that bandits currently troubling the northern part of Nigeria “are going nowhere.” Gumi, an ex-officer in the Nigerian Army, according to Platforms  Africa, declared, in a post on his verified Facebook page, that the military action against criminal herdsmen and bandits will not solve the security challenge, but “will only worsen the situation”.
