The Nigerian Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, has insisted that government would not rescind its position on imposing exercise duties on carbonated drinks. Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed a lawsuit against President Muhammadu Buhari over alleged plans to spend approximately N5 billion (N4.87billion) to monitor WhatsApp phone calls and text messages.
