Platforms Africa has exclusively received the video recording of a zoom meeting among some of the critical stakeholders of Dowen College, including the mother of another student whose 11 year-old son was allegedly bullied like Sylvester Oromoni. Sylvester died after being bullied and tortured by senior students.
The Police is investigating these allegations and the claim that he was tortured over his refusal to join a cult group.

In the 5 minutes recording, the mother who said that the bullies recorded the torture of her son, added that she has been sobbing since she watched the video. She claimed that the principal saw the video but refused to act because the video was not yet shared on “social media.”
A visibly enraged woman, at a moment, engaged in a shouting match with an ex-Guidance and Counsellor of the college who identified himseld as Samuel. Samuel claimed that he resigned after nine years service with the school due to his experience about how some students bully others.

Mr. Samuel also gave details of how structural dediciency in the school hostel building made it a breeding ground for bullies.
The students in the boys hostel who are children of the rich, according to him, usually send on an errand, their House Master and the security man, the men who are supposed to sanction them when they are wrong.
They (students), he said, usually give ATM cards to these men to help them withdraw money after which they dash them some cash.
