Energy policy analyst, Adeola Yusuf, says fuel crisis-free Yuletide commendable, demands sustenance of supply template

 

Team Lead, Platforms Africa, Adeola Yusuf, has charged the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to sustain its template for the supply of white products, which made it record a fuel crisis-free Yuletide across the country.

The Yuletide and New Year holidays have, for some years back in Nigetia, been dotted by fuel crisis including queues, hoarding and panic buying.

Assessing Yuletide Season’s fuel consumption and 2021 subsidy cost on the Breakfast Show, a Television Continental ((TVC) programme, monitored on DStv 418 and GOtv 45, the top energy policy analyst who poured eulogies on the Mallam Mele Kyari-led NNPC for “making good its promise to ensure a crisis-free Yuletide despite pockets of supply hitch experienced in Abuja some weeks back,” charged the oil giant to do more by ensuring that the peace is sustained to and beyond New Year holiday.”

Yusuf, an award-winning journalist said; “this will ensure that those who have travelled far and near for holidays do not have a bad experiences returning to base after the celebrations.”

He pointed out that the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which will lead to removal of subsidy, will be the major event that will shape the new year.
