Caleb Varsity’s Architecture Programmes Get ARCON Accreditation

The Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has accredited the Bachelors and Masters degree Programmes of Caleb University Imota, Lagos.

Platforms Africa reports that the approval was communicated in a letter signed by the Registrar of ARCON, Arch. Umar Murnai, ARCON, fnia; based on a report of the Professional ( Visitation between 12th and 16th April, 2022.

“We refer to the professional accreditation visitation to the Department of Architecture, Caleb University, Imota Lagos, held between 12th and16th April 2021, and would hereby inform you that, in line with Section 9 of the Architects (Registration Etc) Act CAP A19 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) approved the report of the Panel,” the leter read.

“In view of the fact that the Department has acceptable physical infrastructure, facilities and equipment, an acceptable staff/students’ ratio …… and a general assessment of 77.52%, the Council approved the recommendation that the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree Programmes in Architecture ….”.

The accreditation of Caleb University’s Architecture programme, which had already been granted NUC accreditation, follows the recent series of accreditation of programmes run by the Institution, including B.Sc.Economics; B.Sc.Political Science;
B.Sc.International Relations; and BSc.Criminology, Security Studies, among others.
