The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife, has announced a two-week mid-semester break, beginning from March 28, 2022.
This was contained in a release made on Saturday, signed by the university’s registrar, Mrs Magaret Idowu Omosule.
Platforms Africa recalls that the university had since been rocked with series of protests by a group of Ife indigenes who decried the non-appointment of Ife indigene as the Vice Chancellor of the university.

The statement read: “This is to inform staff and students of the university that Management, at a meeting held today, Saturday, 26th March, 2022, approved a two-week mid-semester break for students beginning from Monday, 28th March, 2022.
“We wish students of the university an enjoyable break.”
