Parents of the scholar who are renowned energy journalists; Jerome Onoja and Margaret Nongo-Njokwu, pen emotional tributes for daughter
A Nigerian teenager, Gracious Okojokwu, has been listed as one of the distinguished “2022 Scholars of Distinction” in the United States.
Platforms Africa reports that the scholar who is the daughter of two renowned energy journalists in Nigeria, Jerome Onoja and Margaret Nongo-Okojokwu, got listed during the “10th Annual Participate to Graduate Scholar and Family Empowerment Celebration” for her performance at Lefler Middle School, a part of Lincoln Public Schools.

The father, Jerome Onoja, who confirmed the feat by her daughter penned an emotional tribure on his Facebook page where he poured eulogies on those who supported him and his wife in the journey.

“As God graces her, my girl is doing wonders already,” he announced on his page.
“She was listed as one of the distinguished “2022 Scholars of Distinction” during the “10th Annual Participate to Graduate Scholar and Family Empowerment Celebration” for her performance at Lefler Middle School, a part of Lincoln Public Schools,” an elated Onoja said.
He continued; “As parents, Margie Margaret Nongo Okojokwu and I haven’t been too exceptional in raising her and her siblings. But we’re relentless, watchful, and always learning. The schools can attest to that. And yes, we’ve been hugely helped by the community here.

“So, we say a very big thank you to our Lincoln family et al.
