How I escaped being killed in the ill-fated Dana plane crash – Kate Henshaw
Friends, families and acquaintances today, Friday, June 3, remember the late ace broadcaster and spokesperson for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr. Levi Ajuonuma, and other passengers of the ill-fated Dana Plane that crashed and killed all passengers and crew exactly 10 years ago.
Platforms Africa reports that in an advertorial placed in some national dailies by 36 of the friends of Ajuonuma, they extolled the virtues of the departed soul.
The plane, which crashed into a two storey building in Iju Isaga, less than five minutes to the Lagos airport, was flying from Abuja when the unfortunate incident occurred.

Others are Obinna Ezeobi, Hector Igbikiowubo, Samson Makoji, Aliyu Abubakar, Michael Faloseyi, and Richmond Osuji, Adeola Yusuf, among others.
This came as Nigeria’s veteran Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, on Friday recounted how she almost boarded the ill-fated Dana Air flight that took off from Abuja heading to Lagos on June 3rd, 2012.
Henshaw captioned a photo on Instagram thanking God for saving her.
She said, “ Today marks 10 years since the ill-fated flight took off from Abuja to Lagos. 3rd June 2012, Flight 0992.”
Revealing how she arrived at the airport late, she said, “I was to be on that flight. I arrived at the airport in Abuja late. Anyone who knows me, knows I am never late, for anything. MERCY said no that day. For His goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life.”
