“Oluwatoyin Ruth-First Adedayo is certainly following the path of her late South African namesake,” proud father pens emotional tributes for daughter
Wale Adedayo, Chairman, Ijebu East Local Government area of Ogun state, Southwest Nigeria, has celebrated the result of his daughter, Oluwatoyin Ruth Adedayo, in the just-released West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Platforms Africa reports that Adedayo, a renowned journalist, who announced the sterling performance of his daughter on his Facebook page, also uploaded the result.
“I don’t know if I should say mine was better than this in 1984 at Gaskiyah College II, Ijora. But Oluwatoyin Ruth-First Adedayo is certainly following the path of her late South African namesake. Thank you Iya Ijebu,” the proud father wrote.

The result of the examination conducted at Wellspring School, Omole, Ikeja, shows Ruth having Five A1, 2 B2 and 2 B3. She scored AI in English Language, Geography, Civic Education, and Food & Nutrition.
In Maths and Physics, Ruth scored A3 while she had B2 in both Chemistry and Biology.
