Power Ministry Moves To Stop Workers From Plunging Nigeria Into Darkness

Government begs for two weeks to address issues raised by NUEE + CIRCULAR from power ministry

 

The ministry of power has began moves to stop workers from a plan strike that could sink Nigeria Into a nationwide darkness.

A circular from the Ministry sent to the executive members of Nigeria Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) obtained exclusively by Platforms Africa showed that the minustry was begging for two weeks to address issues raised by the union.

1. Please refer to your letter Ref. No. Gen Circular Vol. 012/2022, dated 15th August 2022 addressed to the Senior Assistant General Secretary, Assistant General Secretaries, Zonal Organizing Secretaries and all NUEE members on the above stated matter.

2. The Ministry of Power takes cognisance of your complaints therein and is committed to proffering solutions that will be acceptable to all parties concerned.

3. May we appeal to your great Union to allow us two Weeks from date of this letter to address the issues and come up with proposals towards acceptable resolution of all issues.
