Spanish prosecutors on Friday charged the football club of Barcelona with corruption over payments the club made to a former refereeing chief’s company. Two of the club’s former presidents, Josep Maria Bartomeu and Sandro Rosell and the ex-refereeing chief Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira are facing the same charge. The afair concerns alleged payments Barcelona made to Negreira, the former refereeing technical committee vice-president, for providing the club with verbal advice on topics relating to referees. The widow of late football legend Pele will inherit 30 percent of his assets, according to his will, which also mentions a woman who could be Pele’s unrecognized daughter, the widow’s lawyer told AFP on Tuesday. Nigeria’s crude oil sales rose by 46.41 per cent to push Nigeria’s total export to N26.79tn in 2022. This is as total trade rose by 31.79 per cent from N39.75tn in 2021 to N52.39tn in 2022.
