Workers trapped, NEMA says, as search and rescue operation begins
Lagos has, again, suffered incidence of collapsed building as a three storey mansion under construction carved in on Wednesday.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), which confirmed this in a terse statement to Platforms Africa on Wednesday, said that the unfortunate incident occured at First avenue, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos at about 6:13PM on 12/04/2023.
“A report of 3 Storey building under construction just received at Banana Island. Workers trapped. We are mobilising to respond,” the statements read.
