Lagos Begins Structural Integrity Test On Banana Island Buildings

The Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory has commenced structural integrity test on the building structures under construction in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

This was revealed in a post shared on the agency’s Instagram account on Friday.

The test is as a result of the seven-storey building under construction that collapsed on Wednesday on 1st Avenue, Banana Island, Lagos State.

The agency wrote, “Important Information. Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory, LSMTL commences immediate Non-Destructive (structural integrity) Test, NDT of the adjoining buildings at the Banana Island building collapse site.

“Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory Initiating structural integrity test on the buildings at the Banana Island.”
