The National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) sitting in Lagos Tuesday reinstated the operations of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Lagos State. Justice Maureen Esowe voided the Lagos State Parks Administrator Caretaker Committee. The judge held that the state government’s suspension of the national unions’ operations and setting up of a caretaker committee last October was illegal and unconstitutional. Policemen have arrested a Point of Sale operator who reportedly went on a spending spree after N280m was erroneously transferred to his account by a commercial bank. The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, restored Senator Ifeanyi Ararume as the non-executive Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
