Adamawa: Police Arrest Suspended REC Yunusa-Ari

The suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner of Adamawa state, Hudu Yunusa-Ari, has been arrested the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). The force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Tuesday, said Yunusa-Ari is currently being grilled in police custody. Yunusa-Ari, was arrested over his conduct during the governorship election in Adamawa state. Following a downpour in parts of Lagos and Ogun states on Monday, the Long Bridge end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was submerged, causing motorists and commuters to be stranded in the gridlock induced by the slow-paced movements of vehicles plying the bridge to navigate their destinations in the states.
