Fifteen persons have been confirmed dead in a boat mishap at Dandeji village in the Shagari Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
Channels Television reported the accident on Wednesday.
According to Aliyu Abubakar, a political administrator of the LGA, more than 15 children drowned, and 25 others are missing.

Fifteen bodies, 13 girls and two boys were recovered by local rescue teams and buried in the village,” said Abubakar.
The source added that the children were on their way to collect firewood in the bush on Tuesday when the unfortunate incident occurred.
