Electricity Workers Union To Join Labour In Nationwide Strike

The National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, has said it is joining the proposed nationwide strike scheduled for Wednesday, by the Nigerian Labour Congress.

Acting General Secretary of the body, Dominic Igwebike, in a statement urged leaders of the body at national and state levels to begin mobilization ahead of the strike.

Igwebike made the call in a statement titled: “Mobilization for Nationwide withdrawal of services.”

According to the statement: “Please note that withdrawal of services nationwide commences from 0.00 hours of Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

“You are encouraged to work with the leadership of state executive council of the Congress in your various states with a view of having a successful action.”
