Former Golden Eaglets forward, Akinkunmi Amoo has been sentenced to one-year in prison by a court in Denmark for sexual assault. Amoo will, however, appeal the court decision. According to Danish newspaper, Ekstra Bladet, Amoo was charged with rape, as well as attempted rape and violations of two more women. Danish authorities had first brought forward criminal charges against the player in April 2022, and then again in July and August 2022.
