The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), says 19 states and 56 communities across the country are likely to witness heavy rainfall that can lead to flooding within the month. Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Lagos Territorial Coordinator, NEMA, said this in a statement on Monday in Lagos Farinloye listed the states and communities as: Delta: Aboh, Ekiti State; Ado Ekiti, Ondo State; Akure, Idanre, Ifon, Iju Itaogbolu, Ogbese, Owo, Owena, Ondo. NBTE Unveils Online Top-up Programmes For HND Holders

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has unveiled an online top-up programme for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders, and a portal to ease mobilisation for the NYSC programme. The board disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday by its Head of Media Unit, Mrs Fatima Abubakar. Abubakar said one of the portals was for HND holders who wish to acquire Bachelor’s Degree through online top-up for one year, with foreign accredited universities. The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the Anti-Corruption Agency of Nigeria (ACAN) recently concluded a three-day sensitisation workshop on “Achieving Zero-tolerance for Corruption in the Workplace,” with staff educated on the types and potential consequences of corruption as well as appropriate safeguards.
