President Bola Tinubu, on Monday, told his newly inaugurated ministers to meet the expectations of Nigerians. Tinubu said this while charging them at the inauguration ceremony that was held at the Conference Hall in the Presidential Villa. At least seven people died and 27 others were hospitalized Sunday in southeastern Brazil when a driver lost control of a bus carrying football fans on a mountainous road, fire officials said. The accident occurred on a highway near Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais state, they said. The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has rejected the three-year power transition plan proposed by Niger Republic’s military junta. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced the death of Olga Carmona’s father just hours after she scored the winning goal in the Women’s World Cup final. Real Madrid left-back Carmona, 23, scored the only goal of the game as Spain beat England 1-0 in Sydney on Sunday to win their first-ever major trophy in the women’s game. Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of 131 women into various political positions.
