How the 26-year-old reigning Nigeria, African, Commonwealth and Diamond League champion became one of the four automatic qualifiers for the semifinals.

The Queen of Track, Oluwatobiloba Amusan, has won her 100mh heat at the ongoing World Athletics Championship currently taking place in Budapest, Hungary.

The 26-year-old finished with 12.48 seconds in a blistering speed.

Recall that the AIU had temporarily banned her over Whereabouts Failures charge.

The 26-year-old athlete faced charges of three whereabouts failures, which constitutes an anti-doping rule violation for missing three out-of-competition tests within a 12-month period.

Amusan contested the charge.

Last week, she was cleared to compete in the championship.

The clearance provided her with the opportunity to defend the only title in her career that she has yet to defend, following her successful retention of her Nigeria, African Championships, African Games, Commonwealth Games, and Diamond League titles.

Amusan was drawn with Olympics bronze medal winner, Megan Tapper of Jamaica in the fifth and final heat of the first round.
