A pilgrim from Nigeria has died in Mecca, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Platforms Africa reports that the pilgrims named Tawalkatu Alako is from Jega Local Government Area.
The Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, which confirmed this news, gave details of event that led to her death.
The board’s Executive Chairman, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, who disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists, said; “The deceased died on Saturday after a brief illness and her funeral prayer took place at the Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba).
“She was buried according to Islamic rites on the same day”.

The chairman, on behalf of the Kebbi government, extended his heartfelt condolences to her immediate family, Kebbi pilgrims, and the entire people of the state.
Aliyu-Enabo prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
