The governor of Kebbi State Nasir Idris, has declared Monday, July 8, as a public holiday to mark the beginning of the new Islamic calendar, lst muharram 1446AH. The state Commissioner for Establishment, Auwal -Dogondaji, made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, on Friday.
