Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, has unveiled his squad for the 2024 Olympic Games. Waldrum included key stars, Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie abd Rasheedat Ajibade in the 18-player squad. There are also defenders Oluwatosin Demehin and Michelle Alozie, midfielders Deborah Abiodun, Halimatu Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe and Toni Payne, and forwards Esther Okoronkwo, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Uchenna Kanu. Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has said that 2,102 suspected cases of cholera and 63 deaths have been recorded across 33 States and 122 LGAs in the country.
