‘She Was A Biological Male,’ Female Boxer Sparks Controversy Over Opponent At Olympics

Female Boxer claims she was forced to fight a biological Male boxer who hit her too hard.

In the beginning, Imane Khelif from Algeria (in Red) was male, and through some sex change procedure, he became a legal female.

So, at the ongoing Paris Olympics Games, Imane was paired against Angela Carini of Italy (in blue) in the Boxing 🥊 Event. But after just 45 seconds, a tearful Angela quit the contest.

She gave her reasons: “I’ve never been hit so hard in my life. It’s up to the IOC to judge [if this fight was fair].”

Invariably, the Italian Boxer Angela Carini said she was forced to box against a biological male Imane Khelif from Algeria.

This is not the first time that the Algerian boxer would be courting controversy.
He failed to fail a gender eligibility test at the 2023 World Championships and was not allowed to participate in that championship.
But the IOC cleared Imane for the Olympics.

Hear Angela after the fight: “This is unjust. I’m used to suffering. I’ve never taken a punch like that. It’s impossible to continue. I’m nobody to say it’s illegal.

“I got into the ring to fight. But I didn’t feel like it anymore after the first minute. I started to feel a strong pain in my nose. I didn’t give up, but a punch hurt too much, and so I said enough. I’m leaving with my head held high.”

Her coach says she may have broken her nose.
