‘Even If We Don’t Do Psquare, Can’t We Still Be Brothers?’ – Paul Okoye Cries Out

Popular Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy of the Psquare group, has expressed his dismay over the ongoing feud between him and his brothers, Peter Okoye (Mr P) and Jude Okoye.

In a recent statement, Paul questioned why they cannot come together as a family despite no longer being in business together.

The P-Square crisis, which has been making headlines, took a new turn when Paul accused his twin brother, Peter, of petitioning the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have him arrested.

This allegation came to light during a recent interview, further intensifying the rift between the brothers.

In response, Peter took to social media with an open letter denying the accusations.

He clarified that his focus was on uncovering the truth behind a secret company, Northside Music, which is allegedly owned by their elder brother, Jude Okoye, and his wife, Ifeoma.

Jude Okoye, who has been drawn into the controversy, addressed the situation in an Instagram live session on Saturday.

He firmly denied Peter’s allegations that he diverted P-Square’s royalties, worth millions of dollars, into a private account, calling the claims baseless.

The public fallout among the Okoye brothers has left fans and followers of P-Square disheartened, as many had hoped for a reconciliation after the group’s previous split in 2017 and brief reunion in 2021.

Paul’s recent plea highlights the emotional toll the feud has taken on the family, as he continues to call for unity despite their professional differences.

However, speaking during an Instagram live session on Monday, August 19, 2024, Rudeboy said, “Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?

“Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate.”
