Ace broadcaster and one-time Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, Malam Yusuf Mamman, will chair the 2024 Annual Conference of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers slated for October.
Platforms Africa reports that this was confirmed via a statement issued on Thursday by the Publicity Secretary of GOCOP, Sir Remmy Nweke.
The statement quoted the Chairman of the 2024 Conference Planning Committee, Danlami Nmodu, mni, to have announced that Ambassador Mamman, a former presidential aspirant on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, had accepted to chair the conference.

According to the statement, the 8th Annual Conference, with the theme: “Nigeria: Tackling Insecurity, Power Deficit, and Transitioning to Digital Economy,” is scheduled to hold at the Reverton Hotel, 1/5, Kunama Crescent, GRA, Lokoja, Kogi State at 10am on October 3, 2024.
Before his appointment as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain, Mamman was the Diplomatic Editor with the Nigerian Television Authority Network Service and later served as Chief Press Secretary to Commodore Ubitu Ukiwe, the de facto Vice President of Nigeria under the then Military President, General Ibrhim Badamasi Babangida, from 1985 to 1986.
