Manchester United claimed a comfortable 3-0 win over Southampton in an action-packed Premier League clash, with goals from Matthijs de Ligt, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho sealing the points.

The drama began in the 31st minute when Diogo Dalot clumsily fouled a Southampton player inside the box, leading referee Stuart Attwell to award the hosts a penalty.

Cameron Archer stepped up to take the spot kick, but his low effort was expertly saved by United goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Archer tried to make amends with a follow-up header, but Onana denied him once again with a stunning reflex save.

United took the lead just minutes later when Matthijs de Ligt met a pinpoint cross inside the box, sending a powerful header into the left corner in the 35th minute.

The visitors doubled their advantage in the 41st minute, as Marcus Rashford latched onto a precise pass and calmly finished into the right side of the net after being denied just seconds earlier by a brilliant Aaron Ramsdale save.

Alejandro Garnacho put the game beyond doubt in stoppage time, firing an unstoppable shot into the top right corner after a clever pass from Dalot.

The goal wrapped up a convincing 3-0 victory for Manchester United, who dominated the match from start to finish.

Despite a valiant effort from Southampton, Manchester United’s clinical finishing and Onana’s heroics ensured they walked away with all three points.
