. ‘Results of hardwork, dedication,’ school talks about preparation that led to distinctions in Ogun State Basic Education Certificate Examination
Platforms College Ota has, again, recorded excellence in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) as its students scored distictions in the just released results of the 2024 edition
The result released by the Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology showed that all students of the school who took part in the external examination were outstanding.
In the results that showed 100 per cent success, all the students from the school cleared their results with at least seven distictions while over 25 per cent of the students even recorded 10 distictions in all 10 subjects.
They include Saludeen Haneefah Omowunmi, Akinlara Ameerah Opeyemi, Soliu Dhikrullah Aduramigba, and Ibrahim Ishaq, who cleared all the 10 distinctions available in all the ten subjects.
Others who came out in flying colours are Adekola AbduRahman, AbdulSalam Adam, Mustapha-Ajia Mubashir Akorede, Nosirudeen Modinat Adesayo, Salami Rosheedat, Abdul Yekeen Rodiyah Motunrayo, Anthony Qazeem Oladipupo, Morinola Zainab , among others who got excellence in subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Basic Science and Technology, CCA, PVS, and National Values.

Other subjects in which they came out in flying colours include history, National Values, IRS, and Yoruba language.
Reacting to the news, Director of Studies, Platforms College Ota, Mrs. Fatimah Adeola-Yusuf declared that the result was an outcome of hard work and dedication by the students and teachers.
“We received the result of our students in the BECE 2023/2024 session with excitement. Being a new citadel, this is the second time the school has participated in this external examination, and this also marks the second time our students had excellent results. We acknowledged the support of our parents, and we return all glory to Allah for His mercy. Though we prepared day and night for the examination, it is by the mercy of Allah that the hard work and dedication were crowned with success.
“We have inculcated a culture of excellence in academics and morals into our learners, and we shall keep striving to ensure we keep matching forward to grow in values,” she said.
