‘She Died At Appointed Time,’ NNPC Boss Breaks Silence On Daughter’s Death

Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, has expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support following the passing of his daughter, Fatima.

Reflecting on her life, Kyari, in a statement via X on Monday, described her departure as occurring at her appointed time and expressed hope of reuniting with her in Jannah by Allah’s grace.

“My daughter Fatima departed at her appointed time and looking forward to meeting her in Jannah by Allah’s grace. While the loss is great by all measures, we remain grateful to God for all his mercies,” he said.

Kyari shared that Fatima, despite facing physical challenges, had touched the lives of many.

“I didn’t know the depth of her connections with many people and what she meant to many,” he added.

He highlighted how her passing had brought people together, demonstrating that care and compassion could transcend social circumstances.

Kyari extended his heartfelt thanks to leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, teachers, and countless others who supported the family during this difficult time.

He appreciated those who joined in prayers for Fatima’s soul and offered consolation to the family.

He said, “I profoundly thank our leaders, family members, friends, associates, colleagues, our teachers and the countless unmentioned that joined us to pray for the repose of her soul and for consoling us.”
