Five Bodies Still Missing In PH Helicopter Crash-NNPC

Five bodies are still missing in the ill-fated helicopter operated by East Winds Aviation that crashed on Thursday in Port Harcourt,the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited,NNPCL, has confirmed. Olufemi Soneye,Chief Corporate Communications Officer,who confirmed this in a statement on Sunday,disclosed that only three bodies have been recovered since the crash. All the eight passengers on the aircraft have been confirmed dead by police authority in Rivers State. NASU, SSANU Begin Indefinite Strike Monday

The Joint Action Committee, JAC, of non teaching staff unions in the universities, comprising the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, NASU and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, has directed its members to proceed on a nationwide indefinite strike from Monday over the non payment of the four months withheld salaries. The Ogun State Government has suspended a teacher in the Obada Grammar School, Amzadjo Elijah, after a student of the school, Monday Arijo, allegedly died from complications of the punishment he was made to serve.
