The former deputy sports editor of New Telegraph newspaper, Dapo Sotuminu, is dead

Platforms Africa reports quoting a family source that Sotuminu died of cardiac arrest.

“He was not sick at all. In fact, he slept hale and hearty yesterday only to wake up this morning breathing heavily and this made us rush him to the hospital this morning.

“He couldn’t make it to the hospital as the doctor confirmed him dead of cardiac arrest when we arrived at the hospital,” a relative of the deceased told Platforms Africa.

His colleague, Lekan Olaseinde, who broke the sad news on his verified Facebook page, prayed unto “the Almighty to console the family.”

Though Olaseinde did not give details of what led to Sotuminu’s death, he described the deceased as a Kind hearted brother, wonderful boss.

He wrote; “Baroyin is gone! Rest well… Dapo Sotuminu. Kind hearted brother, wonderful Oga.

“May the Almighty console the family and grant him eternal rest in the bosom of our dear Lord Jesus Christ.”
