Nigeria’s top politician and opposition party’s chieftain, Olabode George, has declared that there would be a vacancy in Aso Rock by 2027, maintaining that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government has not done well.
Platforms Africa reports that George, a former military governor of Ondo State, who said these during an interactive session with journalists in his Lagos Ikoyi home, maintained that Nigerians are now angry with the APC, a party he described as “a congreagation of jokers, and strange bed fellows.”

Maintaining that the credible election in Ghana has exposed a lot about Nigeria’s last election, the politician tasked the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu whom he described as “a joke” to learn from Ghana.
He said: “I have seen the highest mountain in Nigeria. I have sat in the president’s bedroom, and I have also sat in the worst bedroom, which is the prison for doing nothing. By next year, I will be on the eighth floor, and at this stage, I have seen it all.
“Our own inflation is fifty something per cent now, what the heck is going on here. No biases, let’s say it the way it is. Let’s look at a thorough x-ray of the country. Thank God it is not the year of election, so they won’t say it is because of politics.
“I am yet to be convinced that we have got it right in Nigeria. I am so ashamed of INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu. He was good before, now look at his performance, it is now a bad joke.”
Asked about the Aso Rock in 2027, George declared; “There is a vacancy in 2027 because people are not happy.
“These jokers, these APC, are a congregation of strange bed fellows. Tell me, what parts of Nigeria are happy now. Tell me?
“Do you think we have such characters in Europe? Who gives them the dollars they are selling? The Central Bank.
“The anger and the hunger are almost equal on the streets of Nigeria.”
“Let the president sit down and by the 15th of this month, let him give an order that from this so so date of december to the end of the year, that the price of litre of petrol should be N300 per litre.
“Let’s know how much that will cost, we will contribute. If he does that, people will be happy, and they will be hapy and oray fir him. If madam first lady could donate N1 billion to a university, let her contribute to this project too,” George said.
