The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has announced the final results of the 2022/ 2023 Deepoffshore Licensing Round and the 2024 Licensing Round.
Platforms Africa reports that these results were announced at the 2024 Commercial Bid Conference organised by the commission on Wednesday in Lagos.

The results obtained by Platforms Africa showed six winning bidders and four reserve bidders in the 2022/2023 DEEPOFFSHORE LICENCING ROUND while 19 Winning bidders and six reserve bidders were announced for the 2024 livensing round.

For the 2022/ 2023 DEEPOFFSHORE LICENCING ROUND, Platforms Africa reports using NUPRC results that the asset named PPL 300- DO has SIFAX & ROYALGATE CONSORTIUM as the winning bidder.
The asset code-named PPL 302- DO has
OCEAN GATE ENGINEERING OIL AND GAS LIMITED emerged as the winning BIdder while no name was announced as reserve bidders for the block.
For oil block PPL 303- DO, NUPRC announced MRS OIL AND GAS COMPANY LIMITED as the winning bidder while the reserved BIdder is NNPC E&P Ltd.

CONSORTIUM was, according to Platforms Africa’s review of the NUPRC bid result, announced as the winning bidder just as HOMELAND INTEGRATED OFFSHORE SERVICES LIMITED came up as the reserved BIdder
The PPL 305-DO oil block got HAKILAT OILAND GAS CONSORTIUM LIMITED as the winning bidder, while NNPC E &P Ltd was announced as the reserved BIdder.
For the sixth block in the 2022/2023 DEEPOFFSHORE LICENCING ROUND code-named PPL 306-DO, BISWAL OIL AND GAS LIMITED is the winning bidder while NNPC EXPLORATION &
PRODUCTION LIMITED was announced as the reserved Bidder.

Meanwhile, Platforms Africa reports that the NUPRC has begun the recovery of Idle Oil Blocks in Nigeria as it announced a fresh oil licensing round for 2025.
Gbenga Komolafe, Chief Executive of the NUPRC, made the announcement on Wednesday at the 2024 Licensing Round Commercial Bid Conference In Lagos.
According to him, the 2025 licensing round will focus on underexplored assets, fallow fields, and natural gas development as part of Nigeria’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
