Ex-President Jonathan ADC, Moses Jitoboh, Is Dead

Moses Jitoboh, a former Aide-de-Camp to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has died at the age of 54 after a brief illness. Jitoboh, a Bayelsa State indigene, served as Jonathan’s ADC while he was governor of Bayelsa State and as Vice President.

A source close to the family confirmed the death, stating, “Yes, your information is correct. I can confirm that he (Moses Jitoboh) is dead. I just got off the phone with a community chief.” The source added that efforts were ongoing to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Jitoboh, a former Deputy Inspector-General of Police, was touted to be appointed Inspector General of Police after Jonathan’s presidency but lost out. The Zone 16 Police Command has commiserated with the Jitoboh family and Bayelsans over his death.

Adebola Hamzat, AIG Zone 16, described Jitoboh’s demise as a great loss to his immediate family, Bayelsa State, Nigeria Police, and the country.

Hamzat praised Jitoboh’s contributions to the Nigeria Police Force, dedication to service, and integrity, saying, “His contributions to the Nigeria Police Force, dedication to service, and integrity can never be forgotten.”
