Portable Arraigned In Ogun Court Over Alleged Assault On Government Officials

Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, was arraigned on Thursday at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The arraignment follows his surrender to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba on Wednesday after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.

Portable faces charges related to an alleged attack on officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement exercise at his bar in the Sango Ota area on February 5, 2025.

The officials reportedly sustained injuries during the incident, and while nine of the singer’s associates were arrested at the scene, Portable evaded capture until his recent surrender.
