Why We Appointed Gas Minister As NCDMB Governing Council Co-Chair – Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given reasons he appointed the minister of state for petroleum resources (gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, as co-chairman, Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).

Platforms Africa reports that before Ekpo’s appointment, his counterpart at the oil minister, Heineken Lokpobiri, has been the sole chairman of the council.

Confirming Ekpo’s appointment, the President said through a statement issued by his aide that the appointment was “in line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country.”

The statement signed read; “President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
