The woman’s body was recovered at the University of Lagos shore slipway, but medical personnel confirmed her death upon arrival.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the report, stating that the deceased’s body has been evacuated to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Mortuary in Yaba for preservation.

This came as Police in Ogun State also stated that two men in Abeokuta died of alleged suicide.

While one was reported to have hung himself in a bush, the Police spokesperson said that the other jumped into a well.

“Bodies of the two victims have been deposited in the Mortuary while investigations are on-going on the incidents that led to their death,” the state’s Police PRO said.
