‘Legitimate Targets,’ Iran Declares Middle East Unsafe For U.S. Citizens, Troops

Global Condemnations Trail U.S. action, World Leaders Demand De-escalation, Iran Names Possible Targets, U.S Asks Americans to Evacuate Middle East Immediately

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated dramatically after Iranian state television issued an alarming broadcast late Wednesday night, declaring that all U.S. citizens and military personnel in the region are now considered “legitimate targets.”

The announcement follows last Saturday’s U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s key nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan — carried out under President Donald Trump’s directive.

Flanked by senior members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a uniformed spokesperson delivered the chilling statement during a prime-time national broadcast. “From this moment, no American in the region is safe,” he warned, pointing at a map displaying U.S. military bases across Iraq, Syria, and the Persian Gulf.

Named Targets

The IRGC specifically highlighted installations housing thousands of American troops and contractors, suggesting potential retaliatory action could range from asymmetrical strikes to direct confrontations. Analysts are viewing this as Tehran’s most explicit threat against U.S. civilians since the 2020 killing of General Qasem Soleimani.

“They’re testing red lines without engaging in immediate kinetic action,” said Michael Mulroy, former U.S. Department of Defense official and ex-CIA officer. “This is psychological warfare at a regional scale.”

U.S. Response

The U.S. State Department condemned the declaration as “reckless and dangerous,” advising all American citizens to evacuate the region immediately and initiating emergency protocols for diplomatic staff. The Pentagon confirmed that all U.S. bases in the region have been elevated to Force Protection Condition Delta — the highest level of security readiness.

Global Condemnation

Global Condemnations Trail U.S. Bombing of Iranian Nuclear Facilities, World Leaders Demand De-escalation

A wave of international condemnation has greeted the United States’ surprise airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, with leaders from more than ten countries and over a dozen international organizations warning the move could push the world toward a major conflict.

U.S. President Donald Trump, in a press briefing, confirmed the strikes, calling them “very successful” operations targeting nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. He warned Tehran against any form of retaliation: “Remember, there are many targets left.”

Iran swiftly condemned the attack. Its Foreign Minister described the bombings as an “outrageous assault” on peaceful nuclear installations, vowing that the strikes would have “everlasting consequences.” Iran has officially requested an investigation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), urging its Director General, Rafael Grossi, to condemn the U.S. actions.

Middle East in Turmoil

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the airstrikes, calling Trump’s decision “bold” and confirming Israel’s full coordination with the U.S. Tehran, however, accused the U.S. of acting on Israel’s behalf.

According to Iranian authorities, more than 400 civilians have been killed and over 3,000 injured since Israeli offensives began on June 13. In retaliation, Iran’s missile attacks have killed at least 24 people in Israel.
