The Prestige newspaper’s best public relations practitioner of the year 2021, Idris Kolawole Katib has been elevated to the rank of a Principal Assistant Registrar in charge of Public Relations at the prestigious Crescent University, Abeokuta.
This is contained in a Letter of Promotion signed by the Registrar, Barr. Zakariya Ademola Ajibola.
A letter dated 13th May, 2025 states that “I am pleased to inform you that the Appointments and Promotions Committee for Non-academic staff at its meeting held on the 20th February,2025 approved your promotion to Principal Assistant Registrar
“On behalf of the Vice Chancellor and the Governing Council, I congratulate you on this well deserved elevation and hope you will continue to serve the university to the best of your ability” the letter concluded.
Idris Katib is a multiply certified marketing communications expert with over 20 years hands-on professional landmark in corporate communications, advertising,marketing,branding and reputation management.
He is a member of several professional associations including: Fellow, Public Service Productivity & Development,
Member Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Member Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, Member Institute of Corporate Administration, Member Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria.
He joined Crescent University, Abeokuta in January 2010 as the pioneer Public Relations Officer. He was promoted to Senior Executive Officer ( Public Relations) , Principal Executive Officer (Public Relations), Alumni Relations Officer and then Senior Assistant Registrar in charge of public relations in 2021 before his elevation to the current rank.
