Students of Bola Ajibola College of Law (BACOLAW), Crescent University, Abeokuta have once again shown class at a recently concluded International Bar Association/International Criminal Court Moot 2025 competition organized by the Grotious Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University Campus, The Hague.
The Crescent University team which comprised the team captain, Sururah Olaniyan; general counsel, Qadeerah Ibrahim;counsel for the office of the prosecutor, Iyiola Justus Adeyemi and counsel for the defendant, Mohammedgazaal Abudu and their team coach, Mujeeb Imran Esq. shone like a million stars at the international contest.
The Crescent University team scored 86%, 77% and 91% at different stages of the competition which prompted the panel of judges to applaud their performance as “good and well structured arguments”, “great presence at the podium and style”, “great use of body language, confidence, calmness, consciousness, structured pleadings, excellent eye contact and great sign posting of arguments that make them easy flow”.
The competition, which was organized in conjunction with the International Bar Association and International Criminal Court, witnessed a total of 88 teams participating from 45 countries.

Apart from participating teams from Kenya and Ghana,the Crescent University team stood tall from Africa, successfully proceeding to the sixth round which earned it a good international rating and exposure.
Recall that another group of Crescent University BACOLAW students had made Africa proud with their sterling performance at the 31st Vis-Moot Court Arbitration Competition held at the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, France in 2024.
Consequently, the Proprietor, Prince Mahruf Adesegun Ajibola SAN had consistently emphasized that the sustained feat of Crescent University students was a crystalization of the vision and mission of the Founder, His Excellency Prince Bola Ajibola, to nurture global citizens at the institution which prides itself as citadel of academic and moral excellence.
